Editorial Policy: How We Make Our Notes
Students rely on our notes before exams, so accuracy and honesty matter. This page explains how The Note creates, checks and updates its content.
Sources
School notes are written from the current NCERT textbooks. Career and exam guides are based on the official websites and notifications of the bodies concerned (for example universities, boards and exam authorities). We do not copy text from other websites, and we link to the official source when we mention rules, dates or eligibility.
Writing standards
Notes are short and exam-focused: key points, definitions, formulas and tables, in simple language. Important chapters are written in both Hindi and English. We explain a term the first time we use it.
Review before publishing
Each note is reviewed by an editor before it is published. We check facts against the textbook or the official source, check formulas and units, and check that the chapter name and number match the current book.
Keeping content up to date
When the syllabus or an official rule changes, we update or remove the affected pages. Dates on the website are not shown on individual notes, so if a guide depends on a date, deadline or notification, we say so in the text and link to the official source. Always confirm important dates on the official website.
Independence and advertising
We are an independent website. Advertising may appear on some pages, but advertisers do not influence what we write, and we do not publish paid reviews or paid rankings.
